Congratulations to our children for representing Marton in the Blackpool School’s Athletics competition held at Stanley Park last Friday:

The children competed against 10 other teams in a variety of field and track events.  I am delighted to announce that despite tough opposition the children were awarded 3rd place overall.  The children showed great sportsmanship and determination throughout the event and were, as always, a great credit to our school. 

Well done children, I am extremely proud of you all.

A huge thank you to all the parents, friends and families who supported the children at this event.  It is greatly appreciated.

Our team won the first game against Revoe 4 – 0.  They then played Thames and beat them 6 – 0.  The match against Roseacre was next and proved to be much more of a challenge but still our team won 2 – 0. Although they lost the next game 3 – 2 to Hawes Side, they had qualified for the semi-finals to play Holy Family.  Our team emerged victorious with a 4 – 2 win.  The final against Anchorsholme was really exciting with both teams drawing level with two goals at full time. Extra time couldn’t separate them and the referee had to resort to
